Batteries – BT3 - Familiarisation of Battery Module and Pack Design
BT3 Course Summary
This unit follows on from BT2 (Operating principles of battery management systems) and is a more in depth look at manufacturing battery modules and packs. This unit is suited for people wanting to improve their understanding in order to design a battery pack.
The course covers the following areas:-
- Identification of a battery module and pack.
- The manufacturing process of a battery (Cylindrical or pouch style).
- A detailed breakdown of the considerations needed when designing a new battery pack.
This unit is a level 4 unit and can be delivered as a whole, usually over two days, or in sections as required. This unit is aimed at people who are familiar with the basics of battery design and are wanting to develop their understanding further.
