This is the Train the Trainer event for trainers within Institutes for Technology, Colleges or Training Providers.
The course is delivered on-line by one of the tutors designing the training materials for the course.
This is a level 3 course.
ESP units at Level 3 cover core and foundational aspects of a topic to provide an introduction and overview of a topic. Units are accessible to learners who have studied STEM subjects at this or lower levels, but are also suitable for learners with higher level qualifications in other STEM areas/disciplines seeking an introduction to emerging technologies.
Knowledge : Has factual, procedural and theoretical knowledge and understanding of a subject or field of work to complete tasks and address problems that while well-defined, may be complex and non-routine. Can interpret and evaluate relevant information and ideas. Is aware of the nature of the area of study or work. Is aware of different perspectives or approaches within the area of study or work.
Skills : Identify, select and use appropriate cognitive and practical skills, methods and procedures to address problems that while well-defined, may be complex and non-routine. Use appropriate investigation to inform actions. Review how effective methods and actions have been.
In order to ensure that you are suitable for the course, and to enable the trainer to be made aware of your experience in Digital Infrastructure and Data Acquisition you’ll be sent a short survey to complete once you have registered for this Train the Trainer event.
The Train the Trainer event will equip those attending with the knowledge and skills and materials to deliver the Digital Infrastructure and Data Acquisition directly to their own learners.
The overall length of the unit (including the remote tutor-led element)that this Train the Trainer course will enable you to deliver yourself is 2.5 days with 1 day of remote tutor-led learning and the other days made up of self-directed learning and assessment. However, attendees at Train the Trainer should already have an understanding of the subject matter and therefore the session is about how to deliver the training.
The learning outcomes for this unit include:
• Understand IT infrastructure, networks and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
• Awareness of cyber security and operational technology (OT).
• Use signal processing, data acquisition, data processing, and basic data analysis.
• Use workstation/handhold device to acquire integrated sensor dataset for inspection, maintenance and safety & reliability evaluations of production systems.
