BAT203 Course Summary
ESP units at level 2 provide introductory awareness to a topic area. Units are accessible to learners who have studied STEM subjects at this level and are seeking to gain some technical insight in the topic area of the unit.

Function and chemistry of different battery technologies – Lead Acid, Nickel-Cadmium, Nickel-metal-hydride, Lithium Ion.
Battery structure – cells, packs, anodes, cathodes, battery management systems
Batteries in use – conditioning, charge/discharge cycles, configuration and matching.
