Electrical Engineering Fundamentals for Electric Vehicles

The learning outcomes for this unit include:

• With the introduction of various ‘electrified’ vehicles, this unit will give the learner an further insight into Electrical Engineering Fundamentals building on Unit ELEC212.

• The attendee will be able to understand the specific safety issues relating to both high and low voltage systems.

• By the end of the unit the attendee will also be able to understand and recognise the use of single and multiphase and understand the function of transistors and transformers, alternating current (AC), direct current (DC) and AC / DC conversion.
