Train the Trainer – Emerging Technologies for Smart Manufacturing

Category:

20th January 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm GMT

This is the remote tutor-led component for the Train the Trainer course in Emerging Technologies for Smart Manufacturing

This is the 1 day Train the Trainer event for trainers within Institutes for Technology, Colleges or Training Providers.

The course is delivered on-line by one of the tutors designing the training materials for the course.

In order to ensure that you are suitable for the course, and to enable the trainer to be made aware of your experience in Emerging Technologies for Smart Manufacturing you’ll be sent a short survey to complete once you have registered for this Train the Trainer event.

The Train the Trainer event will equip those attending with the knowledge and skills and materials to deliver the Emerging Technologies for Smart Manufacturing directly to their own learners.

The overall length of the unit (including the remote tutor-led element) is 2 1/2 days with 1 day of remote tutor-led learning and the other days consisting of self-directed learning and an assessment.

This is a level 4 course.

ESP units at Level 4 have been designed to provide an understanding of emerging technologies and the deployment of these technologies in industrial/manufacturing contexts. The units have been designed to suit learners at Level 4, or those with higher level STEM qualifications seeking to upskill in emerging technologies. Those learners without a suitable STEM background at Level 3 would be advised to study the relevant Level 3 unit first.

Knowledge : Has practical, theoretical or technical knowledge and understanding of a subject or field of work to address problems that are well defined but complex and non-routine. Can analyse, interpret and evaluate relevant information and ideas. Is aware of the nature of approximate scope of the area of study or work. Has an informed awareness of different perspectives or approaches within the area of study or work.

Skills : Identify, adapt and use appropriate cognitive and practical skills to inform actions and address problems that are complex and non-routine while normally fairly well-defined. Review the effectiveness and appropriateness of methods, actions and results.

The learning outcomes for this unit include:

• Knowledge of physical asset and digital twin in manufacturing process.

• Knowledge of modelling, simulation and virtual engineering in digital manufacturing process.

• Implement simulation tools and virtual engineering concept for a digital twin in process and manufacturing.

• Knowledge of holistic cyber-physical system for manufacturing and automatic process.
